1. Meet your hosts
Since acquiring the property in 2017, Shannon has transformed it into the space you see today. Her hobbies of gardening, cooking, and design allow her to showcase her natural creativity. This spills over into her professional life, where Shannon deals in vintage and antique furnishings.
Her fiancé, Clayton, teaches Special Education at a local high school, where he can share and indulge in his passion for literature and history. He loves an eclectic mix of music and may be a little obsessed with his favorite soccer team, Manchester United.
Together Shannon and Clayton have a shared love of food, whether cooking at home or experiencing the culinary delights of the many fine restaurants that the city of St. Louis has to offer. On weekends they might be found perusing the farmers’ markets in Tower Grove Park or Soulard. In the evenings, when the weather permits, Shannon and Clayton may be in the garden with their two dogs, Gary and Winston, cooking outdoors or enjoying a crackling fire. They also have a passion for travel. Recent highlights include New Orleans, Napa Valley, and Nashville, where Clayton proposed!
